Day 2 - 22nd June 2026
Greenacres Campsite is fabulous. The shower block is astounding and plush.
I left the campsite at about 9.30 and after a very quick stop for breakfast, I headed out bacl onto the M6. Cruise control was set and I enjoyed the drive up into the lower highlands. the M6 changed to the M74. Most notable scenery, in my opinion, is a clump of trees here. If you know you know. The rest of the drive was unremarkable until I got to Glasgow.
Following the sat nav, I ended up going into the Clyde Tunnel and out the other side and then trough an estate to get to my final destibatioin of Milarrochy Bay.
First impressions is that this place is fantastic. The team were really welcoming and walked you to the spot you could park up. Because I was here at 13.10 the best spots were still free and I am currently overlooking the Loch. It is calm and relaxing.
I have been eaten alive by midges however and have retreated back into the motorhome.
